Shimmer Paint Watercolor

Had to try some more watercolor with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. I love the way this looks so wanted to do a larger image and I think the hydrangea flower from the hostess set Because I Care was perfect for this.
See that pretty shimmer on the paper? All you have to do is paint the Champagne Shimmer Mist paint (116806) onto the watercolor paper (105019) with an Aqua Painter (103954).

Let dry and then stamp image with Jet Black Stazon ink (101406). Watercolor with ink from the lid of your ink pad and an Aqua Painter. On this flower I used Always Aritchoke, River Rock and So Saffron ink.

With one sheet of the SU! Watercolor paper ( 3-1/4 x 5) you can get two hydrangea flowers so I made two cards. This next one uses Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant,Not Quite Navy, and So Saffron ink to watercolor the flower.

Baby Diaper Card

Saw this adorable baby diaper card at the Stampshacklady.blogspot and just had to make one. If you want the template go to her blog and she has a link for it.

The cute "welcome baby" stamp is from the sale-a-bration stamp set Punch Bunch. Sale-a-bration ends on March 31 so if you want to get this stamp set place your order soon at http://www.stampinontheprairie.stampinup.net/

The Top Note Die fits perfectly inside. I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake ink.

Look at the cute little "bottom". To make the "eyelet lace" punch the edge of a strip of Whisper White paper with the Eyelet border punch, then run it through the crimper. To give it a vintage look rub Crumb Cake ink on it with a stamping sponge. Put sticky strip on your card "bottom" as long as you want the lace to be and then attach adding little pleats as you go. I made mine longer than I needed and cut off the excess when I got to the end.

Supplies Used:

121847, wood or 123211, clear - Punch Bunch (Free during Sale-a-bration with $50 order)

114972 - God's Blessings

105118 - Pink Pirouette card stock

Morning Cup

Morning Cup was one of the first stamp sets I had to have when the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalog came out. I have not used it as much as I would like and when I came across a card by Kimberly at Stampinbythesea.com I just had to copy hers. Changed mine a little but its mostly the same. The great techinique idea on this card is to use your Aqua Painter to watercolor the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint onto watercolor paper, love it! Thanks to Kimberly for the awesome idea.

Then stamp the image with Stazon Ink and watercolor. Isn't it pretty?

Supplies Used:

116988, wood or 120489, clear - Morning Cup

101650 - Very Vanilla card stock

115318 - Soft Suede card stock

121030 - Crumb Cake ink

115657 - Soft Suede ink

101406 - Jet Black Stazon ink

116806 - Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint

103954 - Aqua Painters

117273 - Antique Brads

Border Punch Frame Card

I had other plans for this card, it was going to be an Easter card. I started out with Very Vanilla card stock and embossed with clear the branch from Easter Blossoms. Then I sponged Crumb Cake ink over the embossing to make the image "pop". While I like this effect it wasn't where I was planning on going and so I grabbed a border punch frame that I had already cut out (see previous post) and I liked how it looked. I thought it looked like it should be a wedding card now so that is what it is.

Haven't used the Vintage Flower Adornments much and the rose looked perfect over the center of the bow.

The ribbon is Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon, sponged with some Crumb Cake ink, spritzed with water, crumpled up and left to dry. Love the vintage look of it! I made a couple of yards of it so I would have some on hand ready to use.

Scallop Ribbon Border Frame

I saw this cute idea in a demonstration at the Boise Regional event earlier this month.

Using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and a 3"x 3" piece of paper you can create a little frame.

Center the paper in your border punch and punch it. Rotate to do all 4 sides and pay special attention to make sure it is centered every time.

Now you have a cute little frame to use on a card and to showcase your stamped image.

Fast and simple little gift card!
Supplies Used:
123211 - Punch Bunch (Free with $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration)
119275 - Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch
119884 - Scallop Square punch
116854 - Frost Shimmer paint
119246 - Basic Rhinestones
111833 - Baha Breeze classic ink pad
111352 - Baha Breeze card stock
100730 - Whisper White card stock

SU! Idea Book & Catalogs

I love Stampin' Up!'s catalogs and save them all. The great thing about their Idea books is that you can just copy the cards if you don't have any ideas of your own. Sometimes I change them up a little depending on what I have on hand to use. Here are some examples of cards that I have CASed (copied and shared) from current Stampin' Up! catalogs.

The above card is CASed from the Sale-a-bration catalog. I just made it a thinner card, changed it to birthday and omited the ribbon because I didn't have any.

This card is one we did at a workshop, copied exactly from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

This is another card we did at a workshop copied from the main Idea Book & Catalog. Love this little card and envelope! The envelope is made with the Scallop Envelope die. The perfect size for a gift card on a package.

So......if you need to make a card and your mojo is missing, just get out a SU! catalog and copy a card.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Thought I would share this card I made a couple of years ago. It uses the heart from the Always stamp set to create the four leaf clover. The background stamp is retired and is called Script, it has an Irish Blessing on it.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

CREATE Banner

This is one of the projects we got at the Stampin' Up! Boise regional to make. Didn't have time to make it at the event so finished it up at home. The pennants are made using the Petal cone die.

Isn't it cute?

This banner features many fun accessories! The main paper used is the Botanical Gazette designer series paper and the letters are from the Broadsheet Alphabet stamp set.

I had been meaning to make a "create" banner for my stampin' room so this was perfect.

Fun Flowers Swaps

Here are some more swaps that I recieved at the Boise regional. This first one doesn't have a name on it so I don't know who to give credit to. Very happy springtimey card! This card features the Fun Flowers die from the occasions mini catalog (#121812)
This card, also no name on it, uses the Greenhouse Gala dsp and Fun Flowers die. It is much prettier than my photo.
This next card is by Debra Godfrey. I am sorry it is sideways. It's not supposed to be, this happens every so often and I am not computer savy enough to figure it out so please just turn your head to the side to view it.

OK, so I'm not real camera savy either and took lots of blurry pictures, but just had to share a couple. Love the use of fabric on this card that was on display at regionals.
These cards were so pretty, wish I had gotten a better picture. The flowers are all made using the Blossoms Petals Punch (#121808).

Thanks for looking..............now go make some flowers!
