Holiday Catalog Ornament

If you are wanting to create the ornament on the cover of Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalog you can find a tutorial HERE .
To make this ornament you will need the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle from the Holiday Catalog.
The bundle includes the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies and you save 15% when you buy the bundle!

I changed or added some stuff.  I didn't have the same designer series paper that was used so I used what I had, Be of Good Cheer, for the center rosette.  I also added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the center rosette edges and as polka dots on the Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon.

Yo-Yo Quilt Blue Ribbon

Just had to share.
This last week was our county fair and I entered a quilt with yo-yo's on it that I made using the Big Shot to cut out the fabric circles.  You can see that post HERE .

I love all the texture that the yo-yo's add to the quilt.

Canning Jar with Flowers

My plan for this card was to create the look of one of those old blue canning jars .
I have a couple and just love them, especially when filled with fresh flowers.
So this is my attempt at that look.
For the canning jar (from the Perfectly Preserved stamp set) I stamped the image in VersaMark on Watercolor paper and embossed with White embossing powder.  Next I used an Aqua Painter and Baja Breeze ink to watercolor the jar.
Cut out with the Cannery Set framelits.  I punched a hole on each side of the jar so I could wrap the Linen Thread around it which I could have done without holes if I hadn't already glued it down to the piece of Whisper White card stock.  It was an afterthought, thus the holes were needed.
The background is Marina Mist card stock embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.
I then lightly rubbed the Whisper White Craft pad over to highlight the embossed area.
Love how that turned out.

The flowers and leaves are from the Stippled Blossoms stamp set and the stems are from the Perfectly Preserved stamp set.

Other supplies used:
Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, and Old Olive classic ink
Itty Bitty Banners stamp set
Bitty Banners framelits
3/16" Corner punch
1/16" Circle Handheld punch

Stippled Blossoms

This card features the stamp set Stippled Blossoms and the In-Color Primrose Petals.
I think they were meant to be together.
The rose is stamped in Primrose Petals and Pink Pirouette and the leaf in Old Olive and Certainly Celery.  Love that two-step stampin'!

Added a little sparkle with Dazzling Details in the center of the rose.

Other supplies used:
Very Vanilla and Primrose Petals card stock
Fan Fair designer series paper
Bring on the Cake stamp set
Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon
Crochet Trim
Apothecary Accents Framelits
Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack
Delicate Designs Folder
Crumb Cake ink and Stamping Sponge

Morning Post Alphabet Thanks

Finally put my Morning Post Alphabet stamps together and played with them yesterday.
I started with a simple card of just the work "thanks" across it but it was just too plain so I added the
flowers from the stamp set Stippled Blossoms, and a piece of Natural Cotton Ribbon that I stamped with the Travel Journal wheel

Had a little piece of ribbon left so added that to the inside.
I need to remember to stamp inside my cards more often.  It really makes the card complete and a little more special.

Other supplies used:
Crumb Cake card stock
Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive classic ink
Spritzer Tool
Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker
Stampin' Around Handle and Builder Wheel

Perfectly Preserved with a Window Sheet

I haven't used Window Sheets in a long while and I love this idea of using them for the canning jar.
This card is inspired by a card made by Tammy Fite.

I stamped the jar on a sqare of Window Sheet with StazOn ink.
I cut a piece of Orchard Harverst Designer Series paper to fit the inside front of the card and used repositionable tape to hold in place and cut the jar shape with the Cannery Set Framelit through the two layers at once.  Removed the "pear" paper, adhered the stamped Window Sheet in place and then adhered the paper in place with permanent adhesive this time.
I cut two jar lids, one for the inside and one for the outside.  The inside one I flipped over and stamped so it would line up with the outside piece.

Other supplies used:
Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set
Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla card stock
More Mustard, Lucky Limeade, and Marina Mist classic ink
Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker
Linen Twine
Metallic Brads
Bitty Banners Framelits

Friendship Preserves

The stamp set Friendship Preserves is in the new Holiday Catalog.
There are matching framlits called the Window Frame Collection and also a matching paper-piercing pack called Festive.

For this card I embossed Crumb Cake card stock with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.
It doesn't show up too well in this photo but I used the Color Spritzer Tool and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker to add some soft splatters of color on the background.
I colored in the "Thanks" stamp with Stampin' Write markers (Soft Suede, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Elegant Eggplant) and stamped on Very Vanilla card stock.
The striped paper is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Pack.

I copied the idea for this card from Stampin' Up!'s demonstator magazine.
This card is done in Old Olive and Soft Suede.
The tricky part was getting the background where you see the top and bottom of the stamp peeking out from behind the Old Olive piece of paper.
It isn't lined up perfect but I like the look.  Maybe I should have pulled out my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  It's a great tool to have but you gotta get it out and use it!  I ususally think about that after.

Everything Eleanor

I love it when I can put some scraps left from other cards together and create something new.
The background of this card was left over from another card that it just didn't work with.
It is the Woodgrain background stamped in Soft Suede and sponged with Cajun Craze.
I also had some strips of paper from Comfort Cafe laying on the table and the Everything Eleanor stamp set sitting there saying "use me".  So I did.
I am really loving the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and matching Bitty Banners Framelits.
They work so well for adding a little sentiment.
Added a little bling to the flowers with Dazzling Details glitter glue.

Other supplies used:
Naturals Ivory Card Stock
Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit, Always Artichoke classic ink
2-1/2" Circle Punch
and Paper Snips to cut out those flowers - love those little scissors!

Perfectly Preserved Canning Jar Gifts

I am having so much fun with the new stamp set Perfectly Preserved and the matching Cannery Set framlit dies.  You can save 15% when you purchase these two items in a bundle!

I am planning on filling this canning jar with little gingerbread men cookies when we get closer to the holidays.
I used the Spice Cake fabric for the lid of my real jar and my stamped jar.  For the stamped jar I applied the fabric to a piece of card stock with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets and then used the framlit to cut out the shape.  The little gingerbread men are from the stamp set Jolly Bingo Bits.

This canning jar will be filled with pepermint candies to match the ones stamped from the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set.  The fabric is Summer Smooches cut out with the Scallop Circle Bigz die.
I need to get some more jars as I also want to make one with candy canes from the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set.

Other supplies used on these two projects:
Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Pool Party, Whisper White and Real Red card stock
Linen thread and Whisper White Baker's Twine
Soft Suede, Real Red, and Jet Black StazOn ink
Bitty Banners and Labels Collection Framelits
Petals-a-Plenty and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder

New Holiday Catalog and Evergreen Card

Have you looked through the new Holiday Catalog yet?
If not, make sure and click on the link in the sidebar to check it out.
Lots of fun new stuff!
This card features the new stamp set Evergreen from the Holiday Catalog.

Other stamps used are the frame from Papaya Collage and the builder wheel Good Cheer.

You need a little sparkle on a Christmas card so I spritzed the card with Champagne Mist shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol.  Have you noticed the new Stampin' Spritzers in the main catalog?  They are perfect for this and only cost $2.95 for two!

Added a little stampin to the inside and a little spritz of shimmer.

Other supplies used:
Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso card stock
Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Soft Suede card stock
Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon
