Most Popular Blog Post of 2015

Although I haven't posted as much as I should have this year I thought I would look back over the year and see what posts got the most attention.

The most popular has been a post from February with the Sheltering Tree stamp set.

See original post HERE

Coming in second was a post from September with cards and tags made with the Home for Christmas designer series paper.
Love that paper!

Merry Christmas

For unto you is born this day
in the city of David a Savior,
which is Christ the Lord.

Sleigh Ride and Wonderland

I still have many pictures of Christmas cards that I have not yet shared so I am planning on doing that over the next couple of days.

This was the first card I made with the Sleigh Ride edgelits dies.
I love the white, black and grey with some silver glimmer paper added in.

These two cards were copied from someone else's idea.
I am going to miss the trees stamp in the Wonderland stamp set.
Why do things have to retire?
Colors used on this card are Smokey Slate, Crumb Cake and Whisper white.

Silent Night

I love the simplicity of the Navy and White on this card.
I used the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies and coordinating Jingle All the Way stamp set.

Tempting Turquoise Sky

For both of these cards I used the Tempting Turquoise ink pad and the Woodland Textured Impressions folder.  I rubbed the ink pad on one side of the folder and then ran it through the Big Shot with Whisper White card stock.

For the little scene in the circle I used the Happy Scenes and White Christmas stamp sets.
The little red bird is made with the Tree Builder punch.

Here I used the Joyful Season stamp set on a strip of paper stamping the branch, bird feet and greeting. Then I stamped the bird on another piece and cut it out and added on.

Snowman Gift Tag

I just love it when the crafting juices are flowing and one project leads to ideas for another...

It all started with this little snowman that I made and then I had some left over of the quilted muslin that I had tea stained and I needed a gift tag...not that I didn't have plenty but just not the right one.

I had this cute wrapping paper and got an idea...

...a wonderful idea...

I cut out some of the snowmen from the paper leaving some paper around them and then used a Stampin' Glue Stick to adhere them to Whisper White card stock.  Then I cut them out.
I had some shipping label tags that I sewed scraps of quilted muslin onto and then sewed on my cut out snowman and a strip of paper from the Home for Christmas designer series paper (red and white stripe).  The greeting on the back of the tag is from the Reason for the Season stamp set.

Using the glue stick I applied glue in places on the tag and sprinkled some chunky clear glitter that I had over it.  After that was dry I sprayed it with a clear sealer.

Aren't they so cute?

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

I made this card way back in September.  I got this idea from someone else.
Love the look of the sky.

For the background on this card I sponged Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then I added some drops of water.
The snowflakes are stamped with Whisper White craft ink and the snowflake stamp from the Wonderland stamp set.
I used the Sleigh Ride Edgelits dies for the horse and sleigh and the words are from the stamp set Happy Scenes...love how you can bend photopolymer stamps.

We finally got a little snow today and the kids built a snowman...love how he is peeking in my window!

Delicate Ornaments

Here is another card featuring the Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies.

I backed the gold foil ornaments with Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, and Pool Party cardstock.
Embossed the Crumb Cake card base with the Softly Falling embossing folder.

Inlaid Delicate Ornament Card

To make the ornaments inlaid I first used the Delicate Ornament thinlits dies in the two ornament shapes I was using to cut out the white cardstock and then ran the cardstock through the Elegant dots embossing folder.

Next cut out the ornament with the gold foil paper and the hangers from the silver foil paper.

I cut a piece of red cardstock to fit behind the middle of the ornament section using some dots of glue to hold in place and trimmed the edges.

Adhere the white cardstock to the green and place the ornaments in the cutouts using some adhesive to hold in place.

November Stamp Club Cards

This card features the stamp set Jolly Christmas.  This stamp set was a late purchase for me as I decided I couldn't live without the reindeer stamp in the set.  Love it!
Here it is embossed with silver.

The Dove a Peace if a fun stamp to color in but also looks great simply in black and white.

Wonderland has been a well loved stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.
This simple card is based on the sample in the catalog.

I have not used the Reason for the Season stamp set enough.
It is a lovely stamp set.

Be sure and check out the retiring Holiday Catalog products and get your favorites before they are gone.  The Woodland embossing folder is already gone!
