In Color Butterflies

This quick and easy little card is made with a card and envelope from the Note Cards & Envelopes pack and features the new 2013-15 In Color collection.

 

And what's not to love with colors named:

Costal Cabana,

Crisp Cantaloupe,

Strawberry Slush,

Pistachio Pudding,

and

Baked Brown Sugar.

 

Love these colors!

 

Stamp sets used are Best of Butterflies and Really Good Greetings.

 

Added a tiny scallop of Baked Brown Sugar card stock to the edge using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and a little bow of Linen Thread finishes off the card.

 

Don't forget to stamp a butterfly or two or three on the envelope with your favorite In-Color.

Star Trek Father's Day Card

Sorry I have been missing in action.

This happens to me every year around this time.

I just crash - have little interest in stamping - even thought there are all these fun new goodies to play with from the new catalog.

 

With the help of my kids we whipped up this Father's Day card for my husband who is a Star Trek fan.

I used the now retired card stock, More Mustard.  I can't believe SU! retired that one, but I will recover and move on...somehow...

 

Also used Basic Black card stock, Champagne Glimmer Paper, and the stamp is from Delightful Dozen stamp set.

Gee, Thanks Smokey Slate

Still working on using up those Pressed Clay blossoms that I made the other day.

 

Here I have paired them up with the new Smokey Slate card stock along with several elements from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit..

 

 

The "Gee, thanks" stamp is from the new stamp set Really Good Greetings.

Washi Tape & Pressed Clay Blossoms

 

This is the first time I have used Washi Tape.

What is Washi tape?  I have been seeing it but haven't been interested until now!

  “Washi Tape” comes from Japan, it is a paper tape that comes in pretty colors and patterns. It comes on a roll like regular sticky tape, and is often translucent and feels more like masking tape than paper.

 

On this card I just put some strips of the Gingham Garden designer washi tape onto Whisper White card stock, added some pressed clay blossoms and a greeting from the new hostess set Banner Greetings.

Makes for a quick fun card!

Gingham Garden & Pressed Clay Flower

In my last post I shared some pressed clay flowers that I made with the new Simply Pressed Clay and the  Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds available in the 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalog that starts on June 1, 2013.

 

So here is the first card that I have made using a pressed clay flower:

 

 

These flowers are so lightweight and adhere easily with mini glue dots.

The designer series paper featured on the card is from Gingham Garden.

The greeting is stamped in Melon Mambo with a stamp from the set Sassy Salutations.

 

Will be posting more cards using the pressed clay flowers so check back.
