Christmas Ornaments Card

Another card featuring the wonderful Home for Christmas designer series paper.

Yes, I cut out those little ornaments and even punched a little hole to thread the gold cording from.
They are so cute.

Finished off this card with "merry & bright" from the Christmas Greetings thinlits dies and Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set bundle.  Getting a lot of use out of that one!

A Holly Jolly Christmas Card

Here we go again with my favorite Home for Christmas designer series paper.
I cut out one of the little reindeer and used a scrap as a little banner off the side of the circle.

The words are from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set and Christmas Greetings Thinlits dies bundle.
In the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog there are 15 bundles available.  When you purchase a bundle you save 15% and that is always a good thing!

For the card base I used the Whisper White Thick Cardstock and the Softly Falling embossing folder.

I heat embossed with white embossing powder the Snowflake Elements.
A couple of my snowflakes came broken so I used a broken one on the edge of the card so it looks like it was supposed to be that way.

Wonderland with Embossed Snowflake Elements Card

I am getting so much use out of the trees from the Wonderland stamp set.
The whole stamp set is great but the tree stamp has gotten used the most.
So be watching so more cards featuring this stamp set.

I stamped the trees with black StazOn ink on a piece of gold striped vellum from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack.
I adhered the vellum to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using the 2-way glue pen with dots of glue on the back of the gold stripes.

Then I used the Christmas Greetings thinlits dies for the "peace" and the Holly Jolly Greetings for the "on Earth".

The snowflake is from the Snowflake Elements and is wooden, which is great, love that look but I wanted a gold one.
Just press the snowflake onto the VersaMark ink pad and then sprinkle gold embossing powder on and heat set.  You will want to use some tweezers to hold onto the snowflake.

Paper Pumpkin, a Card and a Quilt

Last week I received my Paper Pumpkin and it is to cute!
I just love the little treat bags but haven't made them up yet.

The stamp set that comes with Paper Pumpkin is so cute and I decided to make a card using it.
Inspired by a quilt top I recently finished I did a 9-patch in the center of the card using the 1" square punch, Very Vanilla cardstock with images stamped on it and Happy Haunting designer series paper.
I then added some 1/2" strips of paper around the center.
I built the "quilt" on a piece of 5-1/2 x 4-1/4" cardstock and then trimmed it down after I had the pieces all glued in place.  Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Elegant Dots embossing folder to give it a quilted look.

Here is the quilt:
This is a pattern by Kim Deihl called Sprigs and Twigs and I have been planning to make it for some time now...feels good to have the top all finished.

Christmas Gift Tags

I have been making more Christmas gift tags using premade Avery Shipping Tags.
These measure 4-3/4" x 2-3/8".

The "TO: FROM:" used on all tags if from the Cozy Christmas stamp set.

These tags feature the stamp sets Winter Wishes and Reason for the Season along with a sentiment from the stamp set Wondrous Wreath.

These tags use the Jingle all the Way stamp set, Sleigh Ride edgelits dies, Cozy Christmas stamp set and the music paper is from the Home for Christmas dsp.  The snowflakes on the center tag are from the stamp set Wonderland, the dots and stars on the first tag are from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set and the "merry Christmas" on the third tag is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

Home for Christmas Cards & Tags

The Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper reminds me of childhood Christmases
and wrapping paper that my grandmother had.

I love this paper!
So much so that I didn't want to use it...just look at it.

But then I thought what good was it if I never used it so I took some scissors to it and started cutting out the cute little reindeer and made this first card:

Then I took the scissors to the Christmas trees and presents for this card:

Santa got his turn being cut out and used on this card.
I also love the little houses and added some sparkle with Dazzling Details on the roofs.

And the cutting continued and then I made these little gift tags.

I will be making more until all the paper is used!
