Dress For A Mannequin

The mannequin stamp for this card is from the Established Elegance stamp set.
The "dress" is made with two punches - Heart to Heart and 1-3/4" Scallop Circle. The Heart to Heart punch has 3 sizes, I used the medium size heart for the top of the dress.
Score between the scallops. Make one cut along a fold just to the center and accordian fold.
This becomes the skirt.
Attach the skirt with glue dots.
Now decorate with Basic Pearls to create a necklace and belt.
Other supplies used: Twitterpated designer series paper, Basic Grey card stock and ink, Whisper White card stock.

Fancy Flower Treat Tube Tutorial

These are the projects we created this last Saturday at stamp class.
The following is a picture tutorial on how to create the Treat Tube that uses the Fancy Flower punch for the ends.
Start with a piece of paper 5" by whatever length you need for the treat. I put a small Hershey bar inside so the 3-1/2" worked perfect for that. Score every 7/8".Use sticky strip at the edge of the first 7/8", not the smaller scored section at the other end.
Now fold up, take off the sticky strip and adhere over the smaller edge to create a pentagon shape.
Punch out 2 Fancy Flowers and fold the petals over.
Add a drop of glue on each petal.
Fit the flower shape with folded petals on end of the tube and hold in place for a few seconds until the glue holds.
Now decorate!
Here I used the Triple Treat Flower stamp, Fancy Flower punch, 5-Petal punch, 1/2" Circle punch, Pool Party Baker's Twine, Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set, Lucky Limeade cardstock & Ink, and Island Indigo textured cardstock & Ink.

Getting More From Your Labels Framelit Dies

I used the Labels Collection framelit dies to create the cute layers in the above card.

Here is how to do it:
To create this new shape first cut out a piece of paper with the Labels Collection framelit die in the size you want.
Then lay the die in the opposite direction and center, run through the big shot.
The "sandwich" for the framelit dies is: Multipurpose Plateform on Tab 2, cutting plate, paper, die (cutting blade down), cutting plate.
Isn't that cute and easy? Now cut out several sizes for layering.
This card features the Bordering on Romance stamp set, Friendly Phrases stamp set, Baja Breeze card stock, ink & seam binding ribbon, Island Indigo card stock & ink, Blushing Bride pleated ribbon, Twitterpated designer series paper, and Basic Pearls.

Kindle Cover

I made this cute little pouch for my daughter's Kindle this weekend with the Timeless Portrait fabric.

I cut 2 (black print & red print) pieces of fabric at 13-1/2" x 9" layered with batting and machine quilted. I had some black binding left over from my last quilt and it was just right for this project. I first sewed a 9" length of binding across one end and then folded that end up 4" to become the pocket, baste in place. Then finish off with binding around the 3 unfinished edges. To close I used large snaps and 2 large Cherry Cobbler designer buttons to cover the stitching for the snaps on the outside.

Petite Purse Sneak Peek

This cute little purse is made with a Big Shot die called Petite Purse that will be available for purchase next month as a sneak peek from the upcoming new catalog!

Isn't it cute with the mini note card and envelope that I posted yesterday? Have I mentioned that I love the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper only available through sale-a-bration? Yes, I believe I have mentioned it before. Get some (or more) before it's gone!
