Sweet Pea paper pack card

I made this card using a piece of paper from the Sweet Pea paper pack and a leaf from the Sweet Pea stitched felt from the Occasions mini catalog. Both products are sold out now but thought I would share anyway. It was such a simple card idea. I also used butterflies made with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die that is available in the Occasions mini catalog that ends on April 30.

Ladies' Spring Tea

Some photos of the annual Ladies' Spring Tea at my church. How does this relate to stamping? Well, I made the party favors for the table I hosted. See them below.

The roses on my table. I just love pink and yellow roses.

I made the party favors for my table using the Big Shot die Flower Folds to create the flowers.
To add a bit of shimmer I spritzed them with Frost Shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol.
Love that stuff!

April Stamp Camp Photos

Here are some photos of the projects we made at the April 17 Stamp Camp.

We made a 3-d flower with the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch (#118073) and we placed it on matchboxes made with the Big Shot matchbox die (#114890). The "Friends" tea bag holder was made with the Sending Love Specialty paper (#117153) and the Vintage Vogue stamp set (#118598, clear or #117690, wood).

We also made fabric flowers that were cut out with the Big Shot Circles #2 die (#114526) and heated with heat tool (#100005) to curl up the edges of the synthetic fabric (lining fabrics work great for this) and Clear rhinestone brads (#113144) were used for the center.

The first card in the photo below is made with the Awash with Flowers stamp set (#117062, wood or #120549, clear) that is a sneak peak from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Idea book and catalog that will be out in July. You can purchase this stamp set this month or earn it through hosting a workshop. The colors I used on this card are chocolate chip, so saffron, and mellow moss. The print paper is from the Sweet Pea designer series paper pack (#117161) in the occasions mini catalog.
The "Mother's Day" card also uses paper from the Sweet Pea pack along with the sweet pea stiched felt (#117266). The background paper is Sahara Sand and the ribbon is Chocolate chip 5/8" satin (#117287).

The "bird card" is made with the Two-Step Bird punch (#117191),the Thoroughly Modern designer paper (#115673), button latte (#114333) and Kisses love notes (#118779). The colors are Sahara Sand, Burmuda Bay and Soft Suede.

The "birthday card" uses the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp (#113734, 20% off this month), Bride specialty paper (#115669), brayered with pretty in pink ink, the Big Shot Little leaves sizzlit die (#114511) and Top Note die (#113463) and micro beads (#104266). The colors are Pretty in Pink, Basic Grey, and Whisper white.
We also made the "Tulip Card" shown in an earlier post promoting the Stamp Camp.

It was a fun day of crafting and visiting and eating! I had planned to take photos during the day but that never happened :(

Many of the items we used were from the Occasions mini catalog. You can order these items until April 30 only, so if there is something you are interested in don't wait too long.

Quilt Inspired Card

I love this quilt that I made and felt inspired to create a card using similar colors. For the card I used Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze (its coming back in July!). I used the Impressions folder Perfect Polka Dots (#117335) to emboss the Close to Cocoa paper and then inked my brayer in craft white and rolled over it to add color to the dots. The daisy is made with the Daisies #2 Big Shot die with very vanilla paper and a corduroy button brad for the center.

Sneak Peek

A sneak peek of something we will be making in the Spring Stamp Camp on Saturday, April 17. See earlier post for details or call me at 983-9236. I have 3 seats left if you would like to sign up. Please let me know by Monday, April 12.

I will teach you how to make a 3-d rose with the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch. We will be putting that sweet little rose on top of a box made with the Big Shot matchbox die and fill it with some chocolates!

Two-Step Bird Punch

I have been playing with the two-step bird punch and lovin' it.

The card on the left I punched the bird out in black for a silhouette look. I brayered on glossy cardstock in So Saffron, More Mustard, and Really Rust for a sunset look and then stamped in black the grass from the Inspired by Nature stamp set. This card was inspired by Michelle Zindorf who does the most amazing work with a brayer.

The little 3x3 card in the middle was done using the negative of the punch as a stencil.

The card on the right I punched out the bird body in So Saffron, the wings and branch in Close to Cocoa and the leaves in Old Olive. I sponged the edges of the pieces in their corresponding ink colors and used stampin' dimensionals to layer the bird body and wings. The background paper is from the designer series paper Shades of Spring in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The Two-Step Bird Punch (#117191) is available through April 30 from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
