Burlap Autumn Banner

It is time for an Autumn banner.
I have been wanting to see how the burlap fabric would do in the Big Shot.
I used the Perfect Pennants Bigz die and only 2 layers of burlap.
It was a bit messy and the die was covered with burlap fuzz but cleaned up with packing tape to grab all the fuzz.
Other supplies used:
Morning Post Alphabet stamp set
Howlstooth & Scaringbone dsp
Designer Rosette Bigz die
7/8" Natural Cotton Ribbon
Early Espresso classic ink
VersaMark ink
Gold Embossing Powder
Heat Tool
1-3/8" Circle Punch

Parchment Paper Fancy Favor Bag

I created this little treat bag to coordinate with a birthday card that I had made.
See that card HERE .
I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the two of them together.
I love the little bags that come in the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit but you can't just buy the little bags so decided to try and make my own.
I cut a piece of parchemnt paper to fit the Fancy Favor Bigz die and ran it through the Big Shot.
The crease lines didn't show well but they are easy to guess where they should be.
I used Sticky Strip to adhere the bag together.
After I had the bag together I folded if so it would lay flat and ran it through the Cheveron Folder.
It turned out pretty cute!
Other supplies used:
Mixed Medley stamp set
Cherry Cobbler and Bashful Blue classic ink
Festival of Prints paper stack
Oval Accent Bigz Clear die
1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch
3/4" Circle Punch

Stampin' Up! has created a video to show how to make this cute card that is in the catalog on page 181.  It uses the stamp set No Peeking and to make the accordion fold tree, the Simply Scored Scoring Tool .

I used the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and matching Cannery Set framelits dies.

Tweet Leaves Accordion Fold Card

Tweet Leaves is such a sweet stamp and it works perfectly with the maple leaf on the Autumn Accents Bigz die but I keep using it with the Window Frames Collection framelits dies which also work well.  I will have to make a card with the leaf die and this stamp at some point.
I also have it paired up with the Orchard Harvest designer series paper on this card.
The card base for this card is 5-1/2" x 12", scored at 2", 4", 7" and 9".
Fold back and forth like an accordion.
For the designer series paper, cut 2 at 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" and cut 1 at 1-3/4" x 5-1/4".
The belly band is 1-1/4" x 8-1/2", scored at 2-1/4" and 6-3/8".

I embossed the Tweet Leaves stamp using VersaMark ink and Early Espresso Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Then used Stampin' Write Markers to color it in.
Other supplies used:
Ivory Naturals, Marina Mist, and Lucky Limeade card stock
Square Lattice embossing folder
Petite Pairs stamp set
Early Espresso classic ink
Festive Paper-Piercing pack
Paper-Piercing tool

Another card we made in the Fun Folds class was the Double Fold Gate Card.
The card base is 5-1/2" x 12", scored at 2", 4", 8", and 10".
Make a mark at 2-3/4" on the 5-1/2" sides of the base.  Cut off top corners at an angle from the 2-3/4" mark to the 4" score line and on the other side from the mark to the 8" score line.
Use the cut out pieces and adhere to bottom of the opposite side they were cut from.

From My Heart stamp set

Fun Folds Card Class

I had a card class last weekend and wanted to share the cards I showed the ladies how to make.
Once again I had the idea of actually photographing our fun time but got busy and forgot.
One of these days I will remember.
Here is the first card that we did and it features the Window Frames collection framelits dies and the Friendship Preserves stamp set.
The grape images stamped on the inside is from the Nature's Pace stamp set.
To make the ticket corner (if you don't have a ticket corner punch) you can use the 1/2" circle punch and insert the corner of your paper into a quarter of the cicle and punch.
I drew a mark with a sharpie to make things a little easier.
Other supplies used:
Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, and Crumb Cake card stock
Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb Cake classic ink
Crumb Cake Seam Binding ribbon
Perfect Polka Dots folder
Stay Tuned as I will be sharing the rest of the cards we made.

Perfectly Preserved Wedding

We had a wedding to go to today and I wanted to share the card I made for the bride and groom.
I saw this idea with the hearts in a canning jar and just had to use it for this card.
Isn't that such a cute idea?
I made the hearts using the smallest framelits die from the Hearts Collection framelits.

Perfectly Preserved and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets
Cannery Set framelit dies
Fan Fair designer series paper
Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock
Crumb Cake and Island Indigo classic ink

Holiday Collection Framlits Card

I think this card should be called the Christmas Cookie Cutter Card because that is what the shapes from the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies look like used alone without the coordinating Scentsational Season stamp set.
This card design is making the rounds done with ribbon in the cut out areas.
See that design HERE .
My friend, Jen, had the idea of doing this card with designer series paper instead of the ribbon so I just had to give that a try.
I think it turned out pretty cute.
I used the Festival of Prints designer series paper pack.
Making the country style "stitching" is cute but takes some patience with the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.
Best tip on using that pen is to put the pen in your pocket or slip it under your leg while sitting to warm it up before using.
Other supplies used:
Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stock
More Merry Messages stamp set
Early Espresso classic ink
Early Espresso baker's twine
Jewelry tag punch

Frosty Friends Twisted Gift Card

I have a new name for this fold now thanks to Kelly Gettelfinger who has done a video on how to make a Twisted Greeting Card on You Tube.
She has some great tips on her video.
I have a picture tutorial HERE.
This card features the stamp Frosty Friends and the Festival of Prints designer series paper stack from the Holiday Catalog.

The greeting is from the More Merry Messages stamp set and I used the Snow Flurry Bigz Die to add a snowflake on the inside pouch area.

I stamped the snowmen on Vellum card stock with VersaMark and embossed with black embossing powder.
Turned it over and colored in from the back with Stampin' Write Markers.
While still working on the back I placed it on Stampin' Pierce Mat and rubbed the inside areas of the snowmen with the Stylus tool to make them whiter and add dimension to them.
I glued the vellum piece onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the sky area and shadows under the snowmen.
Then using a Glue Pen I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

To add some sparkle to the bow I made with Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon I added polka dots of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Detals.

Halloween Funky Fold Gift Card and Tutorial

I had not seen this card before until we made one at my upline's card club the other day.
She had a Christmas card design for us to make but I thought I would try it as a halloween treat card.
Not sure what it is called or who originally thought of the design but I think it is fun and wanted to share how to make it.
When you open it up there is a pocket for a gift card or in this case I added a chocolate.
You start with a piece of card stock 11" x 4-1/4" (Very Vanilla used here).
Score lengthwise from one corner to the opposite corner as seen below.
Then fold in half.

This needs to be folded in half again and a score line will help.
Score at 5-7/8".

Fold in half and burnish well with a bone folder.
Make sure it is folded so that there is a "pocket" on the outside front as seen below.

Make a pattern of the card shape to cut a piece of paper to cover the front.
I used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone designer series paper.  Love it!
You will be covering the "pocket" on the front of the card.
I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the designer series paper to card stock base.

For the inside pieces you will need to cut two pieces of designer paper.
 4" x 4 1/2" and  2" x 5 1/4"
You will need to cut these in half diagonally.
You must cut from the upper left to the lower right side or they will not work.
See photo below.
How do I know?  I did it wrong and found out there is a right way.
This will give you two sets so you can use them in making another card.
Then adhere to the inside as shown in photo below.
 Now for the fun.
Decorate the inside and cover as desired!

If you know who originally designed this card or even what it is called please leave me a comment.
Other supplies used:
Googly Ghouls, Mixed Medley and Delightful Dozen stamp sets
Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Basic Grey card stock

1-1/4" and 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punches

Tweet Leaves Hello

This card features the stamp Tweet Leaves which is designed to coordinate with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die which I do not currently own (its on my wish list).  I used the Window Frames Collection Framelits dies to cut out the stamped image and another for the matting which I used the Festive Paper-Piercing pack to pierce the edge.

The "HELLO" is from the stamp set Friendship Preserves and is designed to coordinate with the Window Frames Collection Framelits dies.

Orchard Harvest designer series paper
Paper-Piercing tool
