Another Guy Card

Using the deer head stamp from Remembering Christmas again.
I had some "coffee paper" left over from another project (see HERE) and thought this image would work great as the paper has a leather look to it.  Stamped the deer with StazOn and cut out with a framelit for the Apothecary Accents and used the Essentials paper-piercing pack.

Had a scrap of dsp left over from my last project that I added across the center with some Linen Thread tied around.  Ran the Basic Black card stock through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder.  The card base is Baked Brown Sugar card stock.

Remembering Christmas Guy Card

My first thought when I saw the new stamp set, Remembering Christmas, in the Holiday Catalog was "guy card"!

I heat embossed the deer head with black embossing powder on a piece of paper from the Soho Subway designer series paper.
I also used the Four You and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets, a scrap of Burlap Ribbon (in the Holiday catalog!) and a small piece of Natural 7/16" Trim stamped with StazOn ink and an image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Pleasant Poppies Muslin Bag

You will find these cute Mini Muslin Bags in the Holiday Catalog.

I stamped the Pleasant Poppies on the bag with Black StazOn ink and colored in the flowers with Stampin' Write Markers.

The tag is made with the Chalk Talk stamp set and matching framelits.

Perfect Blend

So LOVE this stamp set!
Can't believe it has taken me this long to use the Perfect Blend stamp set as it is one of the first one's I wanted from the new catalog.

I saw how to make "coffee" paper on Sandi MacIvar's blog.
It's super easy - mix up some instant coffee and a little water and paint your paper with a couple of coats - the paper smells like coffee!

The designer series paper is from Venetian Romance.  The Tangerine Tango card stock features a new embossing folder coming up in the Holiday Catalog called Pretty Print.  I did stamp the background before embossing with a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Crumb Cake ink.  Also added a little Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffled Stretch Trim to the edge of the dsp.  Always fun to get the sewing machine into action on paper!

Perfect Pennants Banner

I made this little "cards" banner for my sister's wedding.
She will have it on a cute little vintage suitcase but I hung it on my vintage typewriter case to see if it would hang nicely - it did!

For the pennants I mounted the burlap onto thin cardboard with a watered down Elmer's glue mixture and let it dry.  I then ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Pennants die.
I stamped the letters with a white acrylic paint and an old stamp set I had.

Sweater Weather Hexagon Quilt Card

Still playing with the stamp set Six-Sided Sampler and the Hexagon Punch.
This card gives you a sneak peek at the Sweater Weather designer series paper from the Holiday Catalog that starts on August 1, 2013.

Hexagon Modern Medley

I created a hexagon quilt look with the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set and the Modern Medley designer series paper.  I stamped the image with the stitches and punched out with the Hexagon punch then arranged and attached them to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

Hello Best of Flowers

CASing myself again.  I really liked this card the first time I made it (see it HERE).
So I updated it with current paper from Gingham Garden.
Stamp sets are Best of Flowers, Four You, and Papillion Potpourri.
Love how the little flower works perfectly with the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch because there is no way I would cut out that many little flowers!

The colors used are Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Calypso Coral.

Best of Flowers & Gingham Garden

Even though I have lots of new stamps to ink up I pulled out the Best of Flowers stamp set to play with the other day as the samples I have made with it have retired paper now (see HERE and HERE ) and needed some new ones.  Of course the Gingham Garden dsp was the one to pair this stamp set with this time around.
I think this is my favorite "Best of" set so far this year.
The sentiment is from the stamp set Blessing from Heaven.

The butterfly is from the Best of Butterflies stamp set, inked with Island Indigo and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  "Thinking of you" is from the Wetlands stamp set.

Wow, it's been a while since I have posted anything.
I have had all these fun new toys to play with but haven't felt like playing...
Until now...
Here is a happy color combo for you:
Costal Cabana
Crushed Curry
Pumpkin Pie
The flowers are stamped in the three different colors on Whisper White card stock with the Flower Shop stamp set and then punched out with the coordinating Pansy punch.
The word "hello" comes from the stamp set Four You and I used Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the stamp .
I had a scrap of paper from the Soho Subway dsp that was just the pop of color needed even though the color is Summer Starfruit...looks to me like it matches the Crushed Curry just fine.
