Christmas Thank You Note Set

Another sneek peek at some of the awesome Big Shot dies coming in the Occasions Mini Catalog that starts January 4!
I used the Lables Collection Framelits Dies, Adorning Accents Edgelits dies and the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing folders.

Also used the Snow Burst Textured embossing folder, Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper and the stamp set Perfectly Penned. The fabric for this card holder is the Holly Berry Bouquet designer fabric from the Holiday Mini Catalog that ends January 3.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we have a tea party using my collection of "A Cup of Christmas Tea" set.
I have quite a bit of baking to get ready for that this evening!

Here is another spot where I used Mica Flakes for "snow". I love making these little scenes under glass, they are soooooo cute.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Pines & Poinsettias Petite Pocket Box

For this Petite Pocket die box I used Crumb Cake card stock and stamped it with the pinecone image stamp from the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set. For the "ribbon" on this box I used a strip of fabric from the Holly Berry Bouquet designer fabric.

Add some more embellishments and the super cute poke-a-dot paper from the Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper and your done!

Petite Pocket Die Box

The Petite Pocket Die is cute on it's own but if you cut out 4 you can make a box that is super cute! To make that box, cut 4 of the Petite Pocket die, trim the bottom below the fold to 2", cut the side tabs off 2 of the pieces, use sticky strip on the tabs on the other 2 pieces and adhere all the pieces together to form a box, fold in the bottom 2" pieces to form the bottom of the box.
Then have fun embellishing! I used paper from the Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper.

To close the top I punched a hole in two of the flaps to string ribbon through.

I cannot figure out why sometimes my photos load sideways!!

See how glimmery the box is? After I was done I misted the whole project with Frost Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol.

Come To Bethleham

Well I finally sent out my Christmas cards this week. I mostly used ones that I had already made so they are all different, however, I did make a few with the stamp set Come to Bethlehem. I am really liking how these turned out. In the background I used the Music Notes wheel with Crumb Cake ink. The patterened paper is from the Mocha Mornings Specialty designer series paper. It has a nice metalic shine to it. The 'Merry Christmas' is from the stamp set Hand-Penned Holidays.

This card shows a little peek of what is to come in the Occasions Mini Catalog..........the new Framelit Dies!!! You're gonna love 'em! There are 6 die sizes in each collection for layering.

I only made one of the above card as it was a bit time consuming. I saw this card idea and just had to copy it. I stamped the image on Very Vannila card stock with Soft Suede ink and then inked the whole paper with Versa Mark and clear embossed, repeating twice, then sprinkled Champagne Glass Stampin' Glitter right away. Then add another layer of Versa Mark and Clear Emboss powder to seal that in. After dry, bend the paper to add cracks and sponge Soft Suede ink into the cracks for an aged look.

Mica Flakes for Snow

I found these great old canning jars and have seen some in blogland with little scenes in them like snow globes, so I just had to make a couple. I was going to add salt for the "snow" but then had the great idea to use up some of my Mica Flakes!

Aren't these cute? Makes you want some Mica Flakes doesn't it?
The Mica Flakes (#124115) are also nice on cards and other papercrafts or just anywhere that needs some "snow".

Fancy Favor Box

To make this quick and easy gift box you need a Big Shot machine and the Fancy Favor Die. Cut 2 of the Fancy Favor and slide one into the other, just that simple. Here I cut one from Real Red card stock and one from the Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper.

To make the tag I used the 2-3/8" and 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punches and the 1-1/4" circle punch with the stamp sets Perfect Punches, Pines & Poinsettias, and Petite Pairs.

Winter Wonderland

I spent some time playing with the stamp sets Welcome Christmas and Lovely As A Tree to create these sweet scenes.

Found this cute "song" to the tune of Winter Wonderland:

Brayers roll......are ya listenin'?
On the card..............ink is glistenin'.
A beautiful sight.........we're happy tonight,
Stampin' in a winter wonderland.

In the craft room we can build a snowman,
Then add color to his carrot nose.
You'll say "Are you finished?"
I'll say " No ma'am",
I need to add some glitter to the snow.

When we stamp......aint it thrillin'
Even when........the powders spillin'
We'll create and we'll play
The art stampers way.
Stampin' in a winter wonderland.

Thought this image would also work well for after Christmas "thank you" cards.

Snowman Gift Tag

I saw this cute idea on a blog somewhere but there were no directions so had to figure it out myself as my daugher wanted to make one. It wasn't that difficult just had to cut out every circle that I owned between my punches and Big Shot dies. The hat is made from the tag punch, word window punch and a flower from the Boho Blossoms punch.

The three sections are attached with brads so they move.

So here are the sizes of circles (some punches and some Big Shot dies) I used to create this snowman: Out of Whisper White card stock cut 3", 2" and 1-1/2" circles. From the Silver Glimmer Paper a 2-1/2" circle. Out of Real Red card stock a 1-3/4" circle for the head and a 3-1/2" scallop for the bottom. For the buttons I used the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. The eyes are a 1/4" hole punch and the mouth is from the small circles in the Cupcake builder punch. I think that covers it. The nose was cut out from a scrap of orange paper, no punch there. The arms are from the snowflake punch.

Christmas Gift Box

This is a Kraft Gift Box (#124106) decorated with paper from the Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper (#124004). Have I mentioned (pretty sure I have) that these Kraft Gift Boxes are fun to decorate?

I have been making lots of medallions since I got the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (#122334). The one on this box is made with the First Edition Specialty paper (#121878). The snowflakes were made with the Northern Frost sizzlet strip die (#120901) and the Red Glimmer Paper (#121790).

Felt Stocking

For this stocking I used wool felt and cut it out with the Holiday Stocking die. I didn't want to pull out my sewing machine so I glued the front to the back with hot glue around the edges so it is useable for little treats or gifts. I also glued the cuff, heel, and toe pieces on - fast and easy!
It looked so plain so I added some sparkle with Mica Flakes and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

After I had finished embellishing I sprayed the whole stocking with Frost Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol. It turned out so pretty.

Vintage Stocking

This stocking is my favorite one that I have made so far. I love the vintage look. I used Very Vanilla card stock. After cutting out the pieces with the Holiday Stocking die I used embossing folders to add texture to the plain card stock. For the body I used the Northern Flurry folder and brayered Crumb Cake ink on one side of the folder (the side were the snowflake image was debossed), set the paper in carefully, close the folder and run through the Big Shot. I used the Square Lattice embossing folder for the top, heel and toe and then sponged on some Crumb Cake ink to highlight. After assembling I sponged all the edges with Early Espresso ink.

The stars were cut out using the Stars #2 die and Silver Glimmer paper. I aged them with Early Espresso ink around the edges using an Aqua Painter and ink refill.

Note that cute Mini Jingle Bell (#124116) at the bottom of the stars. They are in the Holiday Mini Catalog, so if you want some you need to order by January 3.

Holly Berry Stocking

I made this cute little stocking out of the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Fabric (#124065) and the Holiday Stocking die (#124098). The tag is from the Hostess stamp set Tagtastic and the holly is from the stamp set Bells & Boughs (#120831 or 121142), cut out from the top of the bells.

Beau Chateau Holiday Stocking

Over the next few days I will be posting stockings that I have made using the Holiday Stocking Die (#124098).

I love the Beau Chateau designer series paper (#122357) so just had to use some to create a stocking. Really love how this one turned out.

Holly Berry Bouquet Gift Box

I have been having fun decorating the Kraft Gift Boxes (#124106). They come in a pack of 4 for $2.95 and measure 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 2-1/2". They are just the right size for cookies made with the Cookie Stamps (#125152) and lots of other little gifts!

I covered this box with the Holly Berry Bouquet dsp and used the stamp set Pines & Poinsettias.

The rosette on top is made from a ripped strip of Holly Berry Bouquet fabric that is 27" long. Pleat a circle using a hot glue gun to hold every pleat and then with the remainder of fabric not pleated into the cirlce, twisted and formed into the center.

Ornaments

Aren't these cute?

So simple to make. Cut a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper with the Scallop Squares Duo die, using the larger one. Make a medallion out of the First Edition dsp (1"x 12")and the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, scoring at every 1/4". The snowflake in the center is made with the Northern Frost sizzlit decorative strip die (place the glimmer paper glitter side up).

The medallion on this ornament was made with the Holly Berry Bouquet dsp and the center sentiment is from the Word Play stamp set. Punch out a circle of Silver Glimmer Paper for the ornament in JOY.

These would also make a great gift tag for that special Christmas gift.

Merry Christmas Lodge

Love the classic red, green and white plaid paper from the Frostwood Lodge designer series paper. Once again I used the idealic house from the Christmas Lodge stamp set and highlighted the snow with Dazzling Details glitter glue. I also used the Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin Ribbon, Garden Green card stock and the Scallop Trim Border punch.

Everyday Elegance Christmas cards

I made the following cards using the embossed, die-cut cards from the Simply Sent Everyday Elegance card set (#122377).

On this first card I used the lovely house from the Christmas Lodge stamp set (123767, wood or 123769 ,clear) stamped with Baja Breeze classic ink (#111833) on Whisper White card stock (#100730), mounted on Baja Breeze card stock (#111352). Wrapped around the card front is Whisper White Organza Ribbon (#114319). I used the Dazzling Details (#124117) for the snow on the house, the center of the ribbon and the little embossed dots on the card. The bow is made from the Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon (#122331).

The next card uses the Cherry Cobbler colored card from the set along with Holly Berry Bouquet designer series paper (#124004). Using the flower stamp from the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set (#123762, wood or 123764, clear) I colored the stamp with Stampin' Write Markers in coordinating colors then stamped on Whisper White card stock (#100730) then cut out the image with Paper Snips (#103579). I heat embossed the Merry Christmas from the Hand-Penned Holidays stamp set (124310, wood or 124312, clear) with White Stampin' Emboss powder (#109132).

Christmas Lodge

Can't believe it's the first day of December already! I have not even made my official Christmas cards yet, but I have made several Christmas cards that I will be sharing with you this month. They may just become my official Christmas cards this year.

I really love this house from the Christmas Lodge stamp set (#123767, wood or #123769, clear).

I stamped the house and "Merry Christmas" in Night of Navy classic ink (#102977) on Whisper White card stock (#100730). For the snow on the house I used Dazzling Details (#124117). Layered on Silver Glimmer paper (#124005) on a card base of Night of Navy card stock (#100867).
