Up in the Air Note Cards

The "Up in the Air" stamp set is a Hostess only set available in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I finally put this set to some ink and made some little 3x3 note cards.

I stamped all the images in Chocolate Chip classic ink and then took Stampin' Write markers to add some color. The nest is colored in with Crumb Cake and the Leaves are Wild Wasabi to match the card base color. For the scalloped edging I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on Chocolate Chip card stock.

On this cute little "welcome" card the flowers are colored in with Blushing Bride and for the little white dot in the center I used the Moonlight Smooch Pearlized Accent ink.

The markers used on this "so sweet" card are Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, and Wild Wasabi.

Faux Altered Book Card

This is the project we made at last Saturday's stamp class.

The original idea came from Cristena Bagne at gettincrafty.com. It takes a little time to make but I think it's worth it in the end. Always fun to try new ideas. Have yet to actually alter a real book. Can't bear to cut up or ruin a book even though I have bought some old ones to do just that. Making this faux book was a great alternative and maybe I will alter a real book at a later time.

Flirtatious Quilted Heart Card

For this card I used the Flirtatious Designer Fabric cut in strips and sewn together.

I ran a piece of Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot with the square lattice embossing folder for a quilted look. Cut out a heart from the center with a die from the Hearts Collection Framelit dies. I placed the fabric in the center behind the heart, held it in place with some tape and then zig-zag stitched around it on my sewing machine.
No stamping on this card so I guess I will say -

Saturday Stamp Class Cards

My Favorite Valentine

I am so happy with how this card turned out. A vintage Valentine! Loved making this card and it is my favorite. I saw a card like this somewhere browsing around the internet and thought I saved it but then couldn't find it so made this from memory. It is different but the same basic elements are there. The supplies for this card are: Designer Cuts cards & Envelopes set, Candy Conversations stamp, Blushing Bride card stock and classic ink, First Edition dsp, Silver Glimmer paper, Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon (wrinkled and sponged with Blushing Bride ink), Rhinestone brad, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Full Heart punch, Heart to Heart punch.

Valentine Banner

I had made a banner for New Years (see here) and just redid it to be a Valentine banner.

Using the Hearts Collection framelits dies I cut out several different sizes from the Silver Glimmer paper. For the open heart just pick a smaller size to cut out the center.

Fashionable Hearts Valentines

In the Occasions Mini Catalog on page 35 there is a new Embosslits Die called Fashionable Hearts. They are so cute and great for accenting your projects.

On this valentine card I used the Fashionable Hearts die to cut out hearts in colors that coordinated with the Sweet Shop designer series paper. Cut out the large heart in the card with the Hearts Collection Framelit die. The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

This little Petite Pocket die is so cute. A nice little package for treats. Again I used the Fashionable Hearts embosslit die with papers that coordinate with the Sweet Shop dsp that I used. The sentiment is from the Sweet Cake stamp set.

Be My Valentine

The new Hearts collection framelits dies make Valentine's easier. No folding the paper in half to get the heart shape just pick the size you want out of 6 choices and run it through the Big Shot to cut your paper.
