Faux Altered Book Card

This is the project we made at last Saturday's stamp class.

The original idea came from Cristena Bagne at gettincrafty.com. It takes a little time to make but I think it's worth it in the end. Always fun to try new ideas. Have yet to actually alter a real book. Can't bear to cut up or ruin a book even though I have bought some old ones to do just that. Making this faux book was a great alternative and maybe I will alter a real book at a later time.

Here are the supplies used:

Paper -Very Vanilla card stock, First Edition dsp, Everyday Enchantment dsp

Stamp Sets - Nature Walk, Noteably Ornate, Established Elegance, Apothecary Art, Happiest Birthday Wishes, Bring On the Cake

Ink - Basic Black, Soft Suede, Calypso Coral

Accessories - Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Silver Brads, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Basic Pearls, Scallop Envelope die

Happy Stampin'-
