To create the cross on this card you will need the
Scallop Trim Border & Corner punches and a lightweight paper like the designer series paper
Everyday Enchantment that I used for this card.
Cut the paper to 3-3/4" x 2-1/2"
Fold in half.
Then fold the top over 1-1/4".
Insert the folded edges into the Scallop Trim corner punch just far enough that you can just see the folded edges - see above photo for placement.
You will be punching through 4 layers at this point so give the punch some good pressure to get through them all.
Unfold the top edge that was just punched.
Leave it still folded down the center.
Insert the folded edge into the Scallop Trim border punch and line up with one scallop that from the first punch. Make sure it is lined up just right with that one scallop so that you can't see it and then punch.
This is what it should look like at this point.
Then open up the paper and use a bone folder to rub where the creases were for the folds to make it look like you never folded it.
And that is all there is to it.
Have fun.
Happy Stampin'-

Beautiful card, and thanks for the photo tutorial! I just needed a refresher on how to do this and it was much faster than watching a video.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. Thanks for taking the time to take all the pictures for the tutorial, they really help. I found you through pinterest and have been on your blog for an hour at least, pinning away. I love your style.
