My French Butterfly

This card uses the stamp sets French Foliage and Swallowtail.

I am lovin' this giant butterfly stamp!  Here it is embossed in gold and colored with More Mustard and Cajun Craze classic ink using a Sponge Dauber.
The background is stamped in Crumb Cake ink with some stamps from the French Foliage stamp set.

Note the distressed edges of the card stock.  I almost missed the fact that SU! has a new Stampin' Distress Tool (item #127562) in the Spring Catalog on the bottom of page 14.  Even after I bought one I couldn't find it in the catalog again - took me a few looks - so just thought I would point it out in case you missed it like I did.  Or, maybe I am the only one with that problem.   I have a couple of other distress tools but really lovin' this new one!

This makes for a quick card with WOW results.

Happy Stampin'-

  1. That is just so lovely. Thank you for sharing. I must try this out as soon as possible :) Have only embossed the giant butterfly in black so far! I think your gold looks even nicer and stamping in Crumb Cake first really does make it pop.

  3. Love this. Do you have instructions? I'm new to stamping and curious if you embossed first then colored?
