Thinlit Thank You Note Cards

I needed some thank you notes so I grabbed the Note Cards & Envelopes that I have in both Whisper White and Crumb Cake to use.

I had a piece of Whisper White card stock that I had cut out with the large piece of the Detailed Floral Thinlits and laid it down on the white note card...not bad so I glued it down.
Now for some words...the Hello You Thinlits have the word "thanks"...perfect.
I really loved how it turned out.

Now for the Crumb Cake note card I used the Flourish Thinlits and using the largest piece I cut out a few with Crumb Cake card stock. I used one whole piece and then cut pieces to fill in the empty space around it.  This one took a little more time than the white card but I am really happy with how it turned out...worth the time.

To adhere all the pieces I used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using the narrow tip end and just applying small dots all over works well.

Sweet Sugarplum Jar of Love

For this card I thought I would give Sweet Sugarplum a chance as all I seemed to be playing with lately was the Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo...and yes, they are still on this card.

The card base is Sweet Sugarplum card stock with a strip of designer series paper from the Playful Palette paper stack.  Jar is stamped in Pool Party.  Leaves and stems in Emerald Envy.  Small flowers and bow are stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and the other flowers using Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach.

I do have other stamp sets but have been enjoying this one so much!

Floral Affection Jar of Love

Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo make for a very happy color combination.

On the Flirty Flamingo card stock I embossed the edge with one of the embossing folders from the Floral Affection set of two folders.
The jar from the Jar of Love stamp set is stamped in Pool Party, stems are Emerald Envy, small flowers are Flirty Flamingo and the large is Peekaboo Peach.

Little Jar of Love Cards

Both of the cards I am sharing today feature the smallest jar in the Jar of Love stamp set.

This first card is a 3" x 3" card.
The base is Whisper White card stock with a piece of polka dot paper from the Neutrals designer series paper stack.
The jar and "water" are stamped with Pool Party and the lit is done with Smokey Slate ink.
Finished off with a bit of Peekaboo Peach for a fish and the ribbon.

This next card is has a card base of Crumb Cake card stock with designer series papers from the Playful Palette stack and the Neutrals stack.

Again I stamped the little jar in Pool Party.  The "burlap" wrap is stamped with Crumb Cake.
The large flower and the bow are stamped in Peekaboo Peach.  The leaf branches are Emerald Envy.
The little flowers are from the Best Birds stamp set and are stamped with Flirty Flamingo and then colored in with the Pink Pirouette marker.

Jar of Love Thanks

For this card I used the Jar of Love stamp set and coordinating Everyday Jar Framelits.
Loving all the framelits that go with this stamp set so I don't have to cut things out by hand!

For the base of the card I used Flirty Flamingo card stock with a strip of paper from the Playful Palette designer series paper stack.
On the Whisper White card stock I stamped a couple of branches from the Jar of Love stamp set in Emerald Envy.
The Jar is Pool Party ink stamped on Pool Party card stock.  I did stamp the "thanks" also in Pool Party but then went over it with the Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker to make it stand out a little better.  The "twine" is stamped with Crumb Cake ink at the neck of the jar.  I also added some stems in the jar with Emerald Envy stamped off once.

The leaves are stamped with Emerald Envy ink on Emerald Envy card stock.
For the flowers I stamped the Peekaboo Peach card stock with Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo inks and did the same on the Flirty Flamingo card stock with the smaller flowers.  I like the soft look this creates.

I am really loving the new In-Colors and how nicely they play together.

Jar of Fireflies

I often say "I love this stamp set" about many stamp sets but I really do love this new stamp set.

It is the Jar of Love and there is a coordinating framelit set, Everyday Jar Framelits, that makes it even more loveable!

I finally found some time to open up this set and play with it...I don't know why I waited as long as I did!

I have several cards to share with this set but I am only sharing this one today.

For this card I used the branches and flowers from the Best Birds stamp set and coordinating Birds & Blooms Thinlits.
The branch is inked with Soft Suede, the leaves are Emerald Envy and the flowers are Flirty Flamingo colored in with Pink Pirouette.

For the jar I used Pool Party ink to stamp the jar on Whisper White cardstock along with the saying "you light up my life". The jar hanger is stamped in Smokey Slate. I stamped the fireflies in black and colored in the body with Daffodil Delight and sponged a little in the center of the jar.  I also stamped a couple extra fireflies and cut out with the die.  Love all the small coordinating dies!

To add a little sparkle I colored the fireflies and center of the flowers with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Flirty Flamingo Flourishing Phrases

Okay, say that one 10 times fast...Flirty Flamingo Flourishing Phrases!

Another lovely new stamp set with coordinating thinlit dies.

For this card I stamped the large floral vine image from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set in black on Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  Using the Flourish Thinlit dies I cut out several of the images on Whisper White cardstock.   Added some bling with the Basic Rhinestones and a greeting from the same stamp set.

I have been using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach these delicate dies but you need to be careful that you only apply a very little bit so it doesn't seep out the edges.

Detailed Floral Gate Fold Card

Peekaboo Peach is such a pretty color so decided to keep this simple with just the Whisper White under it to show the details of the lovely Detailed Floral thinlits.

To make this card you will need a piece of cardstock 4-1/4" x 11".

Place the largest piece of the floral die at one end and run through the Big Shot then position the edge piece die and run through again.
After you have the one side cut, score so that you have a border about the same as the top and bottom of where you cut out the die.  After making that score line measure 5-1/2" away and score again.

Position the smaller die on the opposite end so it has even borders between the top, bottom and score line.
Cut out in the Big Shot and then position edge die and cut out.

Fold on score lines.

For the inside use a piece of cardstock 4"x10-1/2" scored in the middle at 5-1/4".
Adhere down in the center of the card base and stamp your greeting.

For the inside greeting I used the flower image from Floral Phrases and the "happy anniversary" is from the Best Birds stamp set.

Detailed Floral Thinlits

My first card using the Detailed Floral Thinlits
Keepin' it simple.
I just cut out both images on Whisper White cardstock and adhered them onto a Real Red cardstock base.  The one on the front I added little pieces of dimensionals, that was a pain but I thought it looked better than just flat down on the paper.
The greeting is a new stamp called Stylized Birthday.
I embossed it in white.

Below is the front of the card...sorry about the picture...it really is Real Red.

Love these new thinlits and they are so easy to use with the new Big Shot Platform & Thin Die Adapter and the Precision Base Plate.
You definitely also want the Die Brush with foam pad to loosen up all the little pieces.

Floral Phrases Note Cards

The minute I saw the Floral Boutique Suite in the new Stampin' Up! catalog on pages 76-77, I knew I had to have it all!
Love the classic combination of Navy and White.

Here I used the Floral Phrases stamp set and the coordinating Floral Boutique designer series paper along with the Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes to create some quick and elegant thank you cards.

Just started playing with the coordinating Detailed Floral Thinlits and I will have some cards to share with those so check back.

Swirly Bird Climbing Rose

Okay, this is my last Swirly Bird stamp set card for now.
I am sure there will be more in the future.

I got this idea from a card I saw somewhere...probably Pinterest.
Using the Swirly Scribbles thinlits die I cut out the "vines" with Soft Suede card stock.
The flowers and leaves are all from the Swirly Bird stamp set and have coordinating dies in the Swirly Scribbles thinlits set so you don't have to cut them out!
I stamped the flowers with Sweet Sugarplum and the leaves in Emerald Envy.

For the background I used the Brick Wall embossing folder and applied Soft Suede ink to the raised outline of the bricks.

The "Thank You" is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.

I attached the roses and leaves with glue dots, just gives them a little dimension.

More Swirly Bird

This Swirly Bird stamp set has so many options.
Here is a little boat at sea, with the "sea" being a die from the Swirly Scribbles thinlits set.
I used the new In-Color of Dapper Denim, Real Red and Whisper White.
The "oh, happy day" comes from the Thoughtful Banners set and I used the coordinating Duet Banner punch.

Love the little kites you can make with this stamp set!
At first I wasn't sure what the strange triangle shapes in the set were for until I saw a sample.

Again, I used Dapper Denim, Real Read and Whisper White on this card.
I glued on some silver sequins but wanted a little more sparkle so added some splatters with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  I think this works better with the gold like I did on the card with the bird nest that I shared in the last post.

Swirly Bird Nest

Loving the new In-Color Peekaboo Peach.
On this card I used the new 3/8" Ruched Ribbon in Peekaboo Peach.

The wreath on this card is made using the Swirly Scribbles thinlits dies with Emerald Envy and Soft Suede cardstock.
For the bird I colored the bird stamp from the Swirly Bird stamp set with markers in Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Peekaboo Peach. The eggs are Soft sky and the nest is Soft Suede.  These three images have to be hand cut out.
For the background I used the Woodgrain embossing folder with Very Vanilla cardstock.
I used the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter brush and splattered it on the card.

2016 - 2017 Stampin' Up! Catalog

It's that time again...a NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog and lots of fun new items!!!

I have been playing with the new In-Colors and new stamp set Swirly Bird and coordinating Swirly Scribbles thinlits dies.

Wasn't sure about them but loved the dies so might as well get the stamp set in a bundle and save a little money...anyway, I love this stamp set now!

I used the new In-Colors Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.

The cute banner on this card is made using the new Duet Banner punch and the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.  The background of the largest flower has a piece of designer series paper from the Playful Palette paper stack behind it.

The words on this last card are from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

There is more to it than just the flower images so check back because I will be sharing more cards that I have made with this set.
