Floral Frames Card

This card is made with the Floral Frames Framelits and the Daydream Medallions stamp set.
For the base of the card I used Whisper White card stock cut for a regular sized card.
I used the largest Floral Frames Framelit leaving the fold uncut.  Had no problems with the framelit cutting through the 2 layers of the card.

I used the solid colored paper to coordinate with the ink used on the same size Whisper White paper.

Colors used:  Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.
Also used:  Itty Bitty Banners stamp set, Bitty Banners Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots folder, Square Lattice folder, Designer buttons, and Whisper White Baker's twine.

Papaya Collage

The first stamp set that I just had to have out of the new catalog was Papaya Collage and I really haven't used it much but then I haven't used most of my new stuff yet.  Not feeling very creative these days.  Hope this feeling ends soon because I have lots of fun new stuff to play with!
The bird turned out pretty light because I stamped off before stamping it on the card otherwise it is a bolder image than what appears on this sample.

Along with the Papaya Collage stamp set I also used  Kindness Matters (little butterfly) and Apothecary Art (so grateful).  The designer series paper used is First Edition and Comfort Cafe.
Inks used are Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake.
Framelits used are Apothecary Accents and Bitty Banners.

Fan Fair Father's Day Cards

These Father's Day cards were all made using the designer series paper Fan Fair.

The stamp sets used on this card are The Open Sea and Delightful Dozen.

The typewriter image is from the Fan Fair paper so all I stamped on this was the "happy Father's day" from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

Again, the only stamping I did on this card was the "happy Father's day".
This card also features the new Cheveron embossing folder and the Apothecary Accents framelits.

Last of the Swap Cards

Here are the last 2 swap cards I recieved.
This card features the stamp set Everything Eleanor.
There was no name with it so I don't know who to credit for making this card.

Here is a fun Christmas card made by Lisa Putnam.
There is a brad at the top allowing for the card to swing to the side to reveal the message underneath.
The designer series paper used is Be of Good Cheer and the stamp set is Chock-Full of Cheer

Well, that is all the swaps I have to share.  I guess I am going to have to start making some cards!
Hope you have enjoyed seeing all these great ideas from other demonstrators.

Weren't those fun?  Betsy's Blossoms is a nice bold stamp set which I have not yet purchased so it is nice to have some samples of it.  The designer series paper that coordinates nicely with this stamp set is called Floral District.

Stamp On

This is a card I made for a pre-order swap.  The words "Keep Calm and Stamp On" are from a hostess set called Carry On.  Unfortunately this set is not currently available for order due to a legal issue with the words "Keep Calm and Carry On".  Bummer!  I really like this set.  Will let you know when I hear that it becomes available.

The butterflies are from the stamp set Papaya Collage.  I stamped them in Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Marina Mist, cut them out and used a couple little Basic Pearls for the "body".
For the ribbon I ripped a piece of fabric from the Comfort Cafe designer fabric.
I used 2 framelits from the new Apothecary Accents framelits.
The papers used on this card are Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse, Soft Suede, and Comfort Cafe dsp.

Summer Smooches Pot Holders

I was needing some new pot holders and wanted something fun so I thought that the Summer Smooches designer fabric would be perfect for the project.
Didn't have a pattern just winged it but will share what I did.

I cut the red and white at 9-1/2" square because that is how large my square ruler is, how is that for deciding on how large to cut something?  Then I cut the blue fabric at 8" square along with a piece of Insul-Bright and cotton batting.  Then I layered as seen above.

I drew straight lines on my 8" square piece of fabric with a disapearing marker starting in the middle at 4" and working out every 1" to both sides.  Make sure you put a walking foot on your machine for the quilting part and start in the center and work out to both sides.

Now for the binding just fold over and iron the edges of the red and white fabric about 1/4" then fold over the top and pin in place.  You will have to work with the corners a bit to make them look nice.
OR you could just cut out all the pieces the same size and make a seperate binding piece.  I thought this would be easier.

Using the walking foot on your sewing machine stitch the binding in place.

Now you are done!
Quick and simple!
