Sweet Stitches Mini Bags
I had some scraps left from the ironing board cover that I had made and posted earlier this month and used them to create two mini bags.
The instructions for the mini bags came from a pattern in a magazine called All Small, a Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Publication. The little bags are approx. 3-3/4" high by 4" long.
To make the "flower" just rip a strip of fabric and run a gathering stitch on one side of the length. Pull to gather and shape in a round rosette and handstitch to hold the shape. I added a large brad that I had left over and then hand stitched onto the bag.
Love how the "flower" on this one turned out using the fabric that features different "stitches".

Beau Chateau SPRING banner
Finally got motivated to create a banner for Spring which is fine here in Idaho as we are just getting some Spring. My tulips are just peeking up from the ground and I am looking forward to them blooming.
I used some burlap fabric that I had to create this banner. I freehand cut out some rectangles so they are not perfect, approx. 7" x 4", then I dove-tailed the ends and sewed on some Beau Chateau Side Notes to the burlap.
The burlap banner pieces are sewn together with the 3/8" Twill Tape using a large zig-zag stitch.
The letters are cut out with the Big Shot die Serif Essentials Alpahbet using Beau Chateau designer series paper and Blushing Bride card stock. On the Blushing Bride letters I used the Square Lattice embossing folder. I sponged everything with Soft Suede ink then spritzed the banner with Champagne Mist shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol.
Other supplies used: Antique Brads, Beautiful Butterflies die, 1-3/4" Scallop circle punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Blossom Bouquet Triple layer punch, Basic Pearls, Linen Thread, Glue dots, and Multipurpose liquid glue.

Sweet Stitches Ironing Board Cover
I took a fun class this last weekend at Home Grown Quilts to make this cute quilted ironing board cover.
I used the Stampin' Up! fabric called Sweet Stitches (item # 121818).
I used 2 packages of the Sweet Stiches designer fabric but 3 would be easier as I had to do some piecing together to get the last 3 blocks I needed.
The pattern for this Quilted Ironing Board Cover is by Jenny Garland and can be found at www.modabakeshop.com .
