Among The Branches

Well, I am back with another card featuring my favorite Woodland embossing folder.

You can purchase the Woodland embossing folder and the Among the Branches stamp set in a bundle and save 15%.

For this card I first ran a piece of Basic Grey cardstock through the Big Shot with the Woodland embossing folder.

I sponged on some White Craft ink over the trees and added more white to one side of the trees with the White Stampin' Chalk Marker.  On the other side (shaded side) of the trees and the little lines on the trees I added Basic Grey with an Aqua Painter and Basic Grey ink refill.

Stamped on the owl and the little snowflakes from the Among the Branches stamp set.
Added some sparkle with Dazzling Details.

To finish it off I added a piece of White Glitter Ribbon, some Silver Metallic Thread and a sentiment from the Happy Scenes stamp set.

Greetings Thinlits and Tear & Tape Adhesive

Enjoying how easy to use the Tear & Tape Adhesive is.  Remember the Red tape that was so hard to get the backing off to expose the adhesive?  This is so easy!
When using word thinlits you can just apply a glue but sometimes that gets messy so I was wondering if I could put the Tear & Tape on the back of the paper and cut out my words and then have a non messy way to adhere the words...
and it worked!

Cut a piece of cardstock a little larger than your thinlit and apply a strip of Tear & Tape on the back of the paper.  For this one strip would do but I suppose you could use more.

Make sure that you put the thinlit on the side of the cardstock without the Tear & Tape.
Run through your Big Shot to cut it out.

Now you have your word with adhesive already to go.
Just peel off (comes off so easily!) and adhere to your card front.

Woodland Vintage Leaves

So not only is the Woodland embossing folder my favorite, it must be everyone's favorite as it is already on backorder!

Anyway....on to another card.
For this card I rubbed Sahara Sand ink on the embossing folder and then ran it through with a piece of whisper white cardstock.
Sponged the edges with Soft Suede.

The leaf image is from the Vintage Leaves stamp set & Leaflets framelits dies bundle.
Stamped in Soft Suede ink.
The "thanks" is from the Greetings Thinlets dies set.

Woodland Happy Scenes

Pretty sure I mentioned in my last post how much I love the Woodland embossing folder in the Holiday Catalog...

Here is another sample using the folder along with the stamp set Happy Scenes and Among the Branches stamp set for the little falling leaves.

Woodland Embossing Folder

There are so many lovely items in the Holiday Catalog but if I had to pick a favorite right now it would be the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!

I have already made so many cards with this folder and I will be sharing some of them with you.

For this card I sponged So Saffron on my Whisper White cardstock then masked off a circle and began sponging on Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze.  I then ran the cardstock through the Big Shot with the Woodland embossing folder.  Then with Soft Suede ink and a sponge dauber I highlighted the trees.  Added more highlights on the trees with the Soft Suede Stampin' Write maker in the little lines.

I stamped a little leaf image from Among the Branches stamp set on the branches and then added a leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set and Leaflets framelits bundle with a greeting stamped on it from the A Little Something stamp set.

Keepin' it Simple with Awesomely Artistic

Love how this card turned out.
Clean and simple.
The dragonfly image is from the stamp set Awesomely Artistic.
For the background of the dragonfly I used a clear block and stamped it in Sahara Sand then rolled the edges on the Night of Navy ink pad and misted with water then stamped on Whisper White card stock.  After letting that dry I stamped the dragonfly image on with Night of Navy ink and added some Dazzling details on the wings.

The embossed lines were done using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, every 1/8" mark between the 1" and 2".

For the card below I sponged the Sahara Sand and Night of Navy on a square of Very Vanilla cardstock then stamped the image.

Added a little stamping to the inside of the Navy card.

White Space Therapy

Sometimes I just sit and look at my stamps and don't even know where to start and other times I can't create fast enough as the ideas keep flowing though my mind.

Today was a little slow until I was inspired by a card by Kimberly VanDiepen at Stampin By The Sea.
Be sure and check out her blog post.

I often over think my cards so keeping to the sample and leaving lots of white space (was very tempted to do something to it but I didn't) made for some good stampin therapy time!

I used the Vintage Leaves stamp set and Leaflets framlits for the leaf and the sentiment is from a stamp set in the Holiday mini catalog called Happy Scenes.

I heat embossed the leaf with white embossing powder on white paper then sponged on Crumb Cake and a little Soft Suede ink.  For the sparkle I squeezed out some Dazzling Details glitter glue on the leaf and rubbed it all around with my finger and let it dry.

Now, your turn...go get some stampin' therapy.
