Fat Free Cupcakes!

The trick is you can't eat them...................because they are made of paper!

These are so cute and what a fun gift to hand to someone (filled with a little something, of course) on their birthday or other special occasion.

Filling your cupcake with chocolates blows the fat free idea......but I couldn't resist.

Below is a photo of the supplies you will need to make the cupcake.

You will need the Big Shot machine (113439) with the Perfect Setting die (115961) for the cupcake wrap and the 3" circle die (122125) for the top. You will also need an extra large cupcake liner, button, Victoria crochet trim (118481), 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon (119775, Pretty in Pink), needle and thread, Modern Label punch (119849), Medium Window sheets (114323), glue gun and sticky strip tape (104294)

Using sticky strip tape assemble the cupcake wrap and place the liner inside.

Gather the ribbon and lace and adhere to the 3" circle with a glue gun. Finish off the center of the top with a cute button.

Using the Modern Label punch, punch one out of the window sheet. Fold in half. Apply a bit of sticky strip to either end and adhere inside the cupcake wrap with the fold sitting level with the liner. Then attach the cupcake top. See photo below.

Colors shown above are:

Peach Parfait card stock (119794) with Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon (115616)
Pink Pirouette card stock (111351) with Pretty in Pink striped ribbon(119775)

Certainly Celery card stock (105125) with Certainly Celery stiped ribbon (119771)

Hope you enjoyed these cute fat free cupcakes!

Snow and Easter Blossoms

Woke up to more lovely snow this beautiful Sunday morning! OK, yes, just 5 days ago I was wishing for Spring but that was when things were looking all brown and gloomy, but the snow covers that all up and lifts my sprits again!

I really love (yes, I say that about many stamp sets) the Easter Blossoms stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog!

This card was also inspired by my background on my blog.

The idea for the ribbon and the tag came from Kimberly at Stampinbythesea.com. I love her work and she often inspires me.

Wasn't sure what sentiment to use on this card, it works with alot. I have a stamping friend who recently lost her mother and so this will be going to her. Wouldn't it be nice to never have to make a sympathy card?
In Revelation 21:4 it says "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Something to look forward to!

Have a lovely day-

Cherry Blossoms Card

Feeling a bit ready for some Spring time so changed the background on my blog with the cherry blossoms and just happen to have a card that works well with it.

The First Edition designer series paper (#121878) works great with the branch of blossoms from the Easter Blossoms stamp set (#121905 or #122057), both from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I stamped the blossom branch with Early Espresso ink and then colored the blossoms with Stampin' Pastels (#120962). The bird and sentiment is from the Hostess level 1 set Silhouette Sentiments and are punched out with the Decorative Label Punch (#120907). The roses are from the Springtime Vintage paper (#121782), I cut them out from the patterned paper.

Of course, I can hardly make a card without using my Big Shot (#113439). I used the Square Lattice (#119976) and the Framed Tulips (#121809) embossing folders.

Vintage Valentine

The above card is a poster child for needing to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig! (item #101049) If I had only used mine the words would have been straight! This is a must have and use item.

Both of these cards use the Vintage Springtime designer series paper (#121782) from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Owl Valentine

How cute is this little guy? He is made with the two-step owl punch. I have played with this punch a bit but this is really the first card I have made using it. I think I was intimidated with all the little pieces but it comes together easily for a cute little owl!

Mini Accordian Scrapbook

I saw a little accordian book like this on Stampin' Connection (a site for demonstrators only) and just had to make one.

To make this you need half a sheet of 12x12" paper (6x12"). Score on the long side at 3", 6", and 9". Score accross the paper at 2" to create the "pocket". For the inserts cut 2 of each from colored card stock - 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" and 3-3/4 x 2-3/4". From the white card stock cut 2 of each - 3" x 2-1/2" and 3-1/2" x 2-1/2". Layer together and embellish as you wish with stamps and sayings.

My friend Holly is having an open house at Crema Cafe today, February 5, 9:00 - 1:00, in Grangeville and is doing these as make-n-takes. Stop by and see her.

LOVE Banner

Have been meaning to make a banner with the Pennant die (had to have one just for that purpose) so I made one for Valentine's Day. It is hanging in my craft room in this photo but I will move it to my mantel for Valentines Day.
The bird image is from the Notable Ornate stamp set and the "happy valentines day" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

The key image and the "amour" are from the Artistic Etchings stamp set. "Key to my Heart" is from the Your a Gem stamp set in the Occasions Mini catalog.
