Kids Party Favors for Thanksgiving

I just knew that I had some 1"x 8" cellophane bags somewhere and I finially found them!

I whipped up these easy party favors for the kids table for Thanksgiving.

I thought that maybe it would be difficult to get the m&m's to stack up nicely in the little bags but it just sort of happens on its own as you fill them.  So it turned out to be much easier than I thought it would be and I filled extra ones for Christmas time goodies.

The leaves are made with the Autumn Accents die.  I then folded them in half and ran though the Woodgrain textured embossing folder.
Added a little banner to write their names on, punched a hole through all layers and tied onto tops of the bags with Early Espresso Baker's Twine.

Again, no stampin' on this project.
If I had the Simply Serif Mini Alphabet stamp set I would have used that.
Another thing for the never ending wish list!

I need to stamp something!

NOEL Banner

I created this banner using letters cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Typeset Alphabet die and the Big Shot.

The letters are mounted on Basic Black card stock punched with the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch.

The rosettes are made of vintage sheet music using the Designer Rosette Die.
You really want this die if you like to make rosettes!  It adds all the score lines and has 2 decorative edges.  I cut the sheet music 4" wide and layed in the center of the die to run through that Big Shot for the score marks.  I then cut it in half at 2" and used the 2 pieces to create a 4" rosette.
Vintage sheet music is fragile to work with but love the look.

I hand cut the bulap and dove-tailed the bottom, they are about 4" x 8".
Sewed a length of vintage rick-rack across the tops.

Sorry that the photo does not show this off as nice as it looks in person.  It has such a soft vintage look to it.  Love it!

"Vintage" Bottle Brush Trees

Getting ready for a holiday fair on December 1 and crafting like crazy!
Put these cut little bottle brush trees together the other day.

They were looking a little plain so added star tree toppers made with Silver Glimmer Paper and a retired star punch that was just the right size.  The "Merry Christmas" banners use the stamp set More Merry Messages and were stamped with Versa Mark ink and embossed with Silver embossing powder.

I had what I think is an awsome idea of taking the trees off the stands they came on and attaching them to vintage jello molds!  Love the way this looks.

Happy Thanksgiving Card

I made this card a couple of months ago and have been waiting till closer to Thanksgiving to share it.
I hadn't used the lattice die until I made this card.

I centered the Very Vanilla paper (5-1/4 x 4) on the Lattice die towards the top and ran it through the Big Shot. Remove the lattice image and pop out all the little pieces.  I sponged the Very Vanilla layer and lattice piece with Crumb Cake ink.  Cut a piece of Howlstooth & Scaringbone designer paper to fit the lattice opening and attached to the back.  Then using the 2-Way Glue Pen for adhesive I put the lattice cut out back in place.  Then attach to the More Mustard card base.

Using the Autumn Accents die I cut out of More Mustard card stock and Howlstooth & Scarringbone designer paper the leaves and acorn.  I used embossing folders to create texture on the acorn (Sqare Lattice folder) and oak leaf   (fold leaf in half and run though the Woodgrain folder).  For the other leaf I just crumpled the paper.  Again, sponged everything with Crumb Cake Ink.
The leaves and acorn were spritzed with Champagne Mist shimmer paint.

On a 3/8" strip of Very Vanilla card stock I stamped "happy thanksgiving" (from Teeny Tiny Wishes) in Early Espresso ink, doved tailed one end and punched the top with the Jewelry Tag punch.
Threaded tag onto some Linen Thread, tied around the leaf stems and then in a bow.
Attached to card front with Mini Glue Dots.

I've Been Sewing And Not Posting!

Shame on me!

Sometimes I can get so obsessed with a project and can't do anything else until it's finished.

So, here is my finished obsession:

The pattern is from Primitive Gatherings and it is called Pumpkin Table Mat.
I purchased it as a kit at a quilt shop last month.

Here it is on my table as the centerpiece.

I do have a card to share that I will post tomorrow so stay tunned!

Also, I just received the 2013 Spring Catalog and there are so many great new items!
It just never ends!

Autumn Accents Party Favor

Thought this would make such a pretty favor on the Thanksgiving table.
The bag is made with the Natural Composition Specailty paper and the Fancy Favor die.
I wrapped Crumb Cake Scallop Tulle Ribbon around the bag and tied in a bow on top.
I cut two leaves with the Autumn Accent die.  One from the Champagne Glitter Paper and one from the First Edition Specialty paper
From a stamp in the set Day of Gratitude, I inked only the words "gratitude" and "thanksgiving" with the Early Espresso Stampin' Write marker and stamped on Very Vanilla card stock.  Cut out in strips and dove-tailed the ends.  Attached the banners and leaves to the favor with an Antique Brad.

You could add another banner for a name for the place setting.
