Saturday Stamp Class Cards

Had fun this last Saturday stampin' with a great bunch of ladies in my Stampin' Studio. I meant to take some photo's of the fun but forgot (having too much fun I guess).
Wanted to share the cards that we made. This card uses Pool Party card stock, Everyday Enchantment designer series paper, Elementary Elegance stamp set, and the Labels collection framelits dies.

I love this card! It was CASed from Diane Vander Galien. It uses the Hearts Collection framelits dies, Blushing Bride & Pool Party card stock, Twitterpated designer series paper & designer buttons, Blushing Bride Pleated ribbon, Fresh Vintage stamp set, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Boho Blossoms punch, and Bird Builder punch (for the leaves).

Isn't this a fun cupcake themed card? It features the Sweet Shop stamp set & designer series paper, Calypso Coral card stock, Adorning Accents embossing folders, and Vanilla Scented Embossing powder.

I love the colors on this card - Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, & Very Vanilla.

The designer series paper used on this card is from Everyday Enchantment and the stamp set is Candy Conversations. Also used the Heart Collecion Framelits dies and the Polka Dots embossing folder.

Cake Truffles

I have been busy today making cake truffles for a bake sale. I think they turned out cute so wanted to share. I printed out "cake truffles" but it looked so plain. I grabbed the new stamp set Bordering on Romance and used the little flower image with Tempting Turquoise ink. I had used a piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock with a piece of parchment paper under the truffles in the packaging and had some ribbon that matched so well. Love when things coordinate!

Saturday Stamp Fun

Had fun stamping this weekend in my Stampin' Studio with a great bunch of ladies and wanted to share the cards that we made.

A Cup Of Thanks

This card started with one of the die cut cards from the Designer Cuts Cards & Envelopes Set. I added Blushing Bride card stock behind the die cut area, a strip of paper from Attic Boutique designer series paper, and Blushing Bride Pleated Ribbon. The stamp sets used are Tea Shoppe and You're a Gem. For the teacup I inked the stamp in Versa Mark and then Soft Suede classic ink and stamped on Blushing Bride card stock. I used the new Vanilla Scented Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. Adds a lovely scent to you card. I think it smells more like cotton candy than vanilla, but it's fun!

The "it's the little things" stamp is from You're a Gem stamp set. I stamped it on Whisper White and hand cut it out (need a little tag punch)then added the Blushing Bride card stock behind.

I love adding a Basic Pearl to the center of a little button brad from the Vintage Trinkets - isn't it cute?

Designer Cuts Valentine

The Designer Cuts Cards & Envelopes set (#125414) in the Occasions Mini Catalog are just beautiful.
For this card I simply added behind the die-cut area a Red Glimmer paper heart cut out with a Heart Framelit die that was a little larger than the die-cut heart.

I noticed that 2 of the flowers in the heart die cut were the same (only smaller) as the one I had punched out with the Boho Blossoms punch to use on the banner for the words so I decided to highlight them with a Basic Pearl to match.

"happy valentine's day" is from the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes and the little scallop is from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch.

Updated Edgelits & Framelits Holder

I added Magnet Sheets (#119816) to hold the framelits and edgelits. With one sheet there is just enough for the 3 sets of framelits and edgelits that I have. Cut 2 at 5-1/8" for the Hearts collection and Labels collection Framelits dies and what is left works out just right for the Adorning Accents Edgelits dies.

They slide nicely into the pouches that the framelits and edgelits come in and are much easier to deal with than adhering them to the tape that was on the cardboard they originally come on.

Fleece Fun Flowers

I have been doing a lot of sewing and other projects involving material lately. Just made new pillows for the living room today. Re-covered the seats of 4 chairs that I picked up for my Stampin' Studio - I love them! Finished binding a quilt that has been waiting at least 2 years, maybe 4! And I made this cute fleece ear warmer for my daughter. It was a bit hard to get a good photo as she didn't want her face to show and then having the weird picture loading to blogspot sideways issue - frustrating - just tilt you head sideways to see the first photo. I used the Fun Flowers die to cut out the flowers and circles. I love using my Big Shot for cutting fabric and it does a great job on fleece! Great thing about working with fleece is that the edges don't fray - so just cut out and use! I sewed them on with a bead for the center. It is much cuter in real life than the photo.

The ear warmer is done in the same colors as her ski clothes - Basic Black and Lucky Limeade. (doesn't everyone think in terms of SU! colors?)

Just FYI - I made up the pattern for the ear warmers and altered it a couple of times before I was done so I don't really have a pattern or instructions.

I think I will do some stampin' tomorrow and hopefully have something new to share soon.

Yo-Yo Quilt - One Year Later

I have been doing a whole lot of sewin' this week instead of stampin' and thought I would share where I am at with a project that I posted last January (you can see that HERE). I used my Big Shot and the 3" and 3-1/2" circle dies to cut out circles for the Yo-Yo's.

Here is the quilt top finished! Now I just have to quilt it but I really feel like all the hard work is done - making all the (nearly 600) yo-yo's and applique them on. Feels good to have that accomplished.

Thanks for looking-

Edgelits and Framelits Holder

This was one of those happy accidents. I was making a roll-up holder for stamping supplies(scissors, adhesive, etc.) but was not happy with how it was rolling up and stuff not staying put well. Anyway, I had just received my order of fun new stuff from the Occasions Mini Catalog and was wondering where I would store the new Edglits and Framlits, they do come in nice plastic cases, but I wanted a place they would always be so I could find them. They fit perfectly in the holder so I made the pockets to fit them. Was so glad there was enough space to keep the Adorning Accents textured impressions embossing folders right next to the matching edgelits dies! I almost feel a little bit organized.

To make:

cut 1 fabric and 1 wool felt, 16" x 7-3/4"

cut 1 fabric for pocket, 16" x 8"

Fold fabric for pocket in half so that it is 16" x 4 " and press fold.

Place pocket piece on wool felt piece (can baste in place). On the right side place a piece of ribbon (I used 28", folded in the center) pin in place and then place the right side of the outer fabric piece down on top of it all, pin and sew 1/4" seam all around leaving an opening to turn (I left my opening on the bottom about 4"), trim corners to reduce bulk then turn right sides out, press, stitch the opening closed, topstitch 1/4" around. Create pockets by stitching up from the bottom of the holder to the top of the pocket piece. (The two large pocket are 6" and the last is what was left).

Hope that makes sence as I didn't take any photos when I was making it.

Apothecary Art 3x3 Gift Cards

The Occasions Mini Catalog Starts today! Click on the image in the sidebar to view it now.

Here are some 3x3 note cards made using products from the new Occasions Mini Catalog.
The base of the card is Very Vanilla topped with paper from the Attic Boutique designer series paper that was embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder. The main image is from the stamp set Apothecary Art, stamped with Soft Suede classic ink and cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits dies (love these!). I colored the flowers with Stampin' Write Markers in Baja Breeze, River Rock and Daffodil Delight.
Antiqued it using Soft Suede ink and a Stamping Sponge.
