Happy Easter!

Wanted to share this photo that I took earlier this month.

Luckly it is not snowing now - it's beautiful and sunny today!

Somehow I managed to keep alive my Easter Lily from last year and it bloomed!
I didn't intend to but was happy when I noticed that the way I framed it in the window looks like a cross.

Easter Blessings to you and yours-

Dress Up Canvas Mannequin

Using just the dress form from the Dress Up framlits dies I cut out one in Basic Black card stock and one out of Canvas Creations blank canvas.  I cut the stand part off of the canvas and stamped it with a stamp from Elements of Style stamp set in Early Espresso.  Sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink.
On the bottom back of the canvas dress form I attached same Crochet Trim using Sticky Strip.
Then I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the canvas to the black card stock dress form.

Other supplies used:

Tea for Two designer series paper
Tea Lace paper doilies
Vanilla Flower trim
Primrose Petals Stampin' Write Marker
Apothecary Accents Framlits
Lacy Brocade embossing folder
Primrose Petals Core'dinations card stock
Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon

For the ribbon I colored a piece of Whisper White Taffeta ribbon with the Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker.

Memorable Moments stamp set
Early Espresso ink

Create & Carry On Inspiration Tags

I was inspired to create these tags with pockets after seeing some cute tags with bags by Becky Roberts.

Loved the idea of using the Carry On stamp set with the chalk board technique.
Heat emboss with white embossing powder on black paper then rub white craft ink over the paper to give it that erased chalk look.

The pockets for the tags are made using the Scallop Envelope Bigz die and some Comfort Cafe designer series paper.

I used the Ticket Duo Builder punch for the top of the tag and also to punch out the word CREATE from the Creative Elements stamp set.

Bunny Punch Art Treat Holder

Thought this was such a cute little bunny treat holder that I made a few!

I got this idea from Catherine Pooler.  She has a great video tutorial  HERE.

Just look at that cute little bunny bum!
Love the Vanilla Flower Trim used for the tail.

I stamped "Hoppy Easter" with the new Designer Type Photopolymer stamps on the Natural 7/8" Cotton Ribbon with Early Espresso classic ink.

The "Happy Easter" is from the stamp set Delightful Dozen.

I think I need 2 sets of the Designer Type Photopolymer stamps so I can spell out the whole word and leave it on the block.  Anyway after one "hoppy easter" I changed to the "happy easter" stamp so it would go a bit faster.

The treat inside is a mini Hershey bar.

Okay, go watch that video and make some bunny bums!

You're Amazing - Photopolymer

Here is the first card I have made using the new Designer Type Photopolymer stamp set.
I combined it with a couple of stamps from the You're Amazing stamp set and paper from the World Spectacular dsp.

Love how clingy the photopolymer stamps are and also bendable!
Also very pleased with the stamped image!

I stamped the banner on Whisper White card stock with Island Indigo classic ink.
Added the letters for birthday with Cherry Cobbler ink and then cut out the banner.
Put a Stampin' Dimensional on the back of each banner and attached to card.

Wanted to use the cartoon word bubble somehow but should have played with it more before attaching the elephant.  My daughter told me it looked stupid so just layed it on for this picture.
I thought it was cute - oh well.

Madison Avenue & Sycamore Street

Sale-a-bration ends March 22 and I still had never used the Madison Avenue stamp set!
So here it is... combined with some other sale-a-bration items.

The other stamp set used is Bloomin' Marvelous for the sentiment.

Also used the Sycamore Street designer series paper, Sycamore Street ribbon & button pack and the Vine Street embossing folder.  Love how they all work together!

Masculine Cards

Had a fun class this last Saturday.
We made guy cards!

This card features the World's Greatest stamp, Family Reunion stamp set, and the World Spectacular designer series paper.
On the inside (seen below) I used the You're Amazing stamp set.

I saw a card very similar to this one and just had to recreate it from memory not remembering where I saw it.
This card uses the stamp set Clockworks.  We embossed foil by mounting a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil on white card stock with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets and then ran through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth embossing folder.

This card is also created from one I saw and CASed from memory.
Wasn't sure if I liked the By the Tide stamp set but am happy I bought it!
Created the background with Watercolor Paper, Aqua Painters and ink refills.

This card is based on the part of a card you can see in the main catalog page 105.
It uses the Daring Adventure stamp set.
Wasn't sure how the background was done so I used the largest clear-mount block, scribbled ink on it, misted with water and "stamped" on Whisper White card stock.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I didn't make any St. Patrick's Day cards this year.

Found this vintage postcard image at The Graphics Fairy.

I printed it out and put it in a frame for some quick and easy St. Patrick's Day decor.

Sale-A-Bration Cards

Sale-a-bration ends March 22 so thought I  had better get to playing with some of the FREE items I had gotten from Stampin' Up!
For every $50 in merchandise you purchase you can choose a FREE item from sale-a-bration.

These cards all feature the Patterned Occasions stamp set, Sycamore Street desginer series paper, and the Vine Street embossing folder.
Also used the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch and the 1-3/4" Circle punch.
The elephant image would not work in the circle punch so used a framelit from the Labels Collection Framelits.

Playing Dress Up

Having fun with the Dress Up Framelits Dies from the Spring Catalog.

Warning:  These are cute, fun, and addicting!

For this card I used Baja Breeze card stock for the base and Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon.
The dress form is cut from black with the Dress Up framelit.
I used the dress framelit to cut out a dress from Very Vanilla card stock and then embossed it with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  Cut off about half of the dress portion and then attached the paper flowers from the Pop-Up Posies designer kit (these look like mini cupcake liners).  Used 3 different sizes folded in half and crumpled up a bit.  Attached with a glue gun until I reached the waist and then added a bow to cover the top of the skirt.

For this dress I used the same method for creating the skirt just used the Pool Party colored paper flowers from the Pop-Up Posies kit.  The card base is Pool Party and the layer is So Saffron embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  The dress form is cut from Early Espresso card stock using the Dress Up framelits.  The bodice (dress) is from the designer series paper Tea for Two.  The Pool Party satin ribbon at the waist is from the Sycamore Street ribbon and button pack available through sale-a-bration.

For this card the background polka-dotted paper is from the Tea for Two dsp layered on Early Espresso on a card base of Very Vanilla card stock.
The dress form is Early Espresso and the dress base is Very Vanilla embossed with Perfect Polka Dots folder.
The paper flowers are Calypso Coral from the Pop-Up Posies kit.  Bow at the waist is Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon.

All feature a necklace made with Pearl Basic Jewels.

Hope these cards have inspired you to play "dress up"!

Simply Wonderful Best of Flowers

This is such a happy card!

The flower image is from the Best of Flowers stamp set.  It works perfectly with the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch.

I stamped the flowers in Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit classic ink on Very Vanilla card stock.
Using the same ink colors I also stamped three butterflies from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and punched them out with the Bitty Butterfly punch.

I cut the Very Vanilla card stock card base 5-1/2 x 8 1/2", score and fold at 4-1/4.  I then cut off  1" of the front edge.
Added designer paper from the Print Poetry paper stack on the front and a strip on the inside edge.
The front piece of dsp is 3" x 5-1/4" and the strip for the inside edge is 1-1/4" x 5-1/4".
Attached the flowers to the edge of the front and used a dimensional on one of the flowers layered on top near the bottom.

The phrase is from the stamp set Friendly Phrases inked with Stampin' Write Markers in Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple.

Hope you liked this card as much as I did.

Thanks for lookin'-

Love that lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  I have one tiny piece left.

Vanilla 5/8" Flower Trim
Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon

Best of Flowers - You're the Best

Here is another card featuring the Best Of Flowers stamp set.
I will be sharing two more over the next couple of days to feature all the flowers in the stamp set.

Very simple layout and happy how it came together.
The paper is from the Print Poetry paper stack along with some Very Vanilla and Midnight Muse card stock.

Inked the flower with Midnight Muse and Gumball Green Stampin' Write Markers.

The words are from part of a stamp in the Friendly Phrases stamp set.  Just used the Midnight Muse Stampin' Write Marker to ink up only the words I wanted.
